Compliance and standards

Every Garment Built to a Written Standard

As a construction uniform manufacturer we build against a named norm rather than a look, which is what separates a real construction workwear manufacturer from a catalogue reseller. These are the standards main contractors, ADNOC, DEWA and Dubai Municipality tenders ask for, mapped to the garment you are actually buying.

EN ISO 13688

General Requirements

Baseline ergonomics, sizing, ageing and labelling standard. The foundation under every other PPE certification.

EN ISO 20471

High-Visibility Clothing

Class 2 for general site, Class 3 for road, rail, airside and night. Defines reflective tape area and fluorescent fabric area.

EN ISO 11612

Heat and Flame Protection

FR coveralls, with letter codes A1 for flame, B for convective heat, C for radiant and E for molten metal. HRC 2 or higher.

EN ISO 11611

Welding and Allied Processes

Class 1 for limited spatter and Class 2 for high spatter, covering welding suits, jackets and aprons.

EN ISO 14116

Limited Flame Spread

Indexes 1, 2 and 3. Secondary FR garments worn over an EN ISO 11612 base layer in lower-risk zones.

EN 1149-5

Anti-Static and ATEX

Static-dissipative FR coveralls for refineries, ATEX zones, oil and gas, and paint or solvent areas.

EN 397

Industrial Safety Helmets

Shock absorption, penetration, flame, side rigidity and dielectric performance. The baseline hard hat standard.

EN ISO 20345

Safety Footwear

S1, S1P, S2, S3 and S5 grades. 200 J toe cap, puncture midsole, water resistance, anti-static and oil-resistant outsole.

EN 343

Rain and Foul-Weather

Water penetration and breathability classes for rain jackets, bib trousers and parkas on exposed scopes.

NFPA 2112

NFPA Flame-Resistant

The American oil and gas standard. Many ADNOC and international contractor scopes specify NFPA 2112 garments.

OEKO-TEX 100

Textile Safety

No harmful substances against skin, which matters on long-shift garments worn next to skin through a Gulf summer.

ISO 105-C06

Wash and Colour-Fastness

Industrial laundry colour-fastness rating. We hold a minimum grade 4/5 after 50 wash cycles on hi-vis garments.

Cooling-vest kits ready for the 15 June to 15 September midday-break window

UAE law bans outdoor work between 12:30 and 15:00 through the summer months. Compliance is not only about stopping work, it is about how the crew gets through the morning shift. Our phase-change cooling vests activate at 28°C, give a worker two and a half to three hours of body cooling, and layer under a hi-vis vest without restricting movement. We pre-cool, palletise and dispatch in insulated cartons so kits arrive on site ready to issue.

Construction Uniform Pricing, From a 25-Set Top-Up to a 10,000-Set Mobilisation

Bulk construction uniform pricing moves with fabric grade, branding specification and delivery phasing, so every order is quoted per project. Affordable poly-cotton kits and premium inherent-FR kits come off the same production line, and the gap between them is fabric, not workmanship. Share the BOQ and we return a full line-item quote within one working day, with fabric, stitching, branding, packing and site delivery priced separately.

Site Delivery Across Every Emirate

If you are looking for a construction uniform company near your project site rather than a trader two countries away, our facility sits in Ajman's industrial belt. It is the same production corridor most established uniform companies rely on, without the Dubai overheads that end up on your invoice. Next working day into Dubai and Sharjah, free across the northern emirates, and 24 to 48 hours to Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and remote project sites. Our logistics team coordinates gate-pass, PPE-issue and labour-camp drop-offs with your HSE and store before the truck moves.

Why UC Uniform

Why Contractors Choose Us as Their Construction Uniform Supplier

01

We manufacture, we do not import and relabel

Most companies advertising site PPE here are container importers. We are a construction uniform manufacturer, so stitching, logo embroidery and workwear printing all happen under one roof in Ajman. That is how a 21-day mobilisation is possible at all.

02

Tender-grade documentation

Any safety uniform supplier can say a garment is compliant. We hand you the paper: EN ISO test certificates, OEKO-TEX declarations, NFPA references, MSDS for FR chemistry and country-of-origin certificates, all issued in your project name and attached to the delivery. Your HSE audit defends itself.

03

Project logistics, not parcel deliveries

Bag, tag and box per labour camp, gate-pass coordination, buffer stock against your headcount, and bilingual size labels for South Asian and African workforces. We have kitted more than 120 sites.

Vinod G.
Vinod G.HSE Manager, Civil EPC, Abu Dhabi
"We trialled their cooling vests through last June's midday window. The crew finished the morning shift without the usual cluster of heat-exhaustion incidents. They are now standard PPE on all our outdoor scopes."
Faisal M.

Everything Contractors Ask About Site Workwear

Construction Uniform Supplier and Manufacturer for Site Teams

UC Uniform is a construction uniform manufacturer supplying site workwear and PPE to contractors across all seven emirates. From our own facility in Ajman we cut, stitch, embroider and dispatch FR coveralls, Class 2 and Class 3 hi-vis, welding suits, cooling vests, hard hats and safety footwear. Every garment is built to a named EN ISO standard and every delivery carries the certificates your HSE file needs.

Below are the questions procurement managers, HSE officers and project buyers ask us before raising a purchase order.

Why Buying From a Construction Uniform Manufacturer Changes the Order

Most companies advertising site PPE here are importers. They bring in containers of finished garments, relabel them, and quote you a single bundled price. That works until a batch colour drifts, a size runs short mid-project, or an HSE audit asks for a mill-test certificate nobody kept.

We cut and stitch the garment ourselves, so we can name the fabric mill, hold buffer stock against your headcount, compress a mobilisation into 21 days, and correct a fault on our own floor instead of waiting on a shipping cycle. That difference shows up most on phased mega-project deliveries, where batch four has to match batch one exactly.

FR Coveralls: Choosing the Right Flame-Resistant Fabric Tier

Flame-resistant fabric is where most of the cost sits, and where most specification mistakes happen. We work with four tiers so the garment matches the risk class rather than the budget line:

  • Pyrovatex CP, treated cotton, roughly 7 cal/cm² ATPV. Cost-efficient for civil, concreting and general site scopes.
  • Westex Indura UltraSoft, around 8.7 cal/cm² ATPV, HRC 2. The workhorse for electrical and mixed hot-work exposure.
  • Klopman Tecasafe Plus, modacrylic and cotton blend, lighter on the shoulders through a summer shift while holding HRC 2.
  • DuPont Nomex IIIA, 95 percent Nomex with 5 percent Kevlar. Inherent flame resistance that never washes out, specified on refinery and sour-gas scopes.

All four carry EN ISO 11612 certification, and the mill-test certificate travels with the garment into your project QA file.

Hi-Vis Classes Explained Under EN ISO 20471

Hi-vis is graded by surface area, not by how bright it looks. Class 2 requires 0.50 m² of fluorescent background and 0.13 m² of retro-reflective tape, which covers general ground crew. Class 3 requires 0.80 m² and 0.20 m², and is mandatory for road, rail, airside and night-shift work.

Getting this wrong is expensive. A Class 2 vest issued on a Class 3 scope fails site induction and the whole batch comes back. Send us the induction requirement and we will specify against it. We use 3M Scotchlite 8910 silver tape for the highest retro-reflectivity, with Reflexite GP340 as a budget alternative.

MOHRE Midday-Break Compliance and Heat-Stress PPE

UAE law bans outdoor work between 12:30 and 15:00 from 15 June to 15 September. Compliance is not only about stopping work, it is about how crews get through the morning shift safely.

Our phase-change cooling vests activate at 28°C and give roughly two and a half to three hours of body cooling, layering under a hi-vis vest without restricting movement. We also supply vented FR coveralls with back and underarm mesh, UPF 50+ sun hoods, and hydration belts sized for electrolyte sachets. Kits are pre-cooled and palletised so they arrive ready to issue.

How Much Do Construction Uniforms Cost in the UAE?

Site workwear pricing is driven by five things: fabric tier, garment complexity, order quantity, branding specification and delivery phasing. A branded polo and cargo trouser set sits at the affordable end. A Class 3 hi-vis coverall costs more. A Nomex IIIA FR coverall with embroidered SAP ID sits at the premium end.

Because we manufacture rather than import, there is no reseller margin in the number you see. We quote line by line with fabric, stitching, branding, packing and site delivery shown separately, so your QS can challenge any line and adjust the specification to hit a budget. Send the BOQ and you will have a costed breakdown within one working day.

Sizing for the Construction Workforce

Standard range runs XS to 5XL in regular and tall fittings, with 6XL and 7XL manufactured on demand. This matters more than most buyers expect, because South Asian and African workforce body-types on site do not fit a European size chart cleanly, and a poorly graded size set generates weeks of exchange requests after issue. We send a full size set for trial fitting before bulk cutting, and stock women's-cut coveralls and petite sizing for QA, QC and HSE roles.

How to Choose the Best Construction Uniform Company for Your Project

Four questions separate a real construction uniform company from a catalogue reseller, and all four are worth asking before you shortlist anyone:

  • Can they name the fabric? Not "FR fabric" but the mill and the grade, with an ATPV figure and a test certificate you can file.
  • Will they state a lead time in writing? An importer quotes an estimate because the real timeline sits with a factory they do not control.
  • Do they hold buffer stock? Headcount grows mid-project. Without buffer stock, batch four arrives in a different shade to batch one.
  • Can you visit? A construction uniform company that owns its floor will invite you onto it. A trader will offer you a catalogue.

Cheapest and best are rarely the same quote. An affordable poly-cotton kit is the right answer on a fit-out scope and the wrong answer on a hot-works scope, where a rejected batch of non-compliant coveralls costs more than the premium fabric would have. Tell us the scope and we will tell you where the money is worth spending and where it is not.

Working With a Construction Uniform Supplier Near Your Project Site

Distance matters more on site workwear than on most purchases. When a size runs short during PPE issue, or an induction rejects a hi-vis class the morning before mobilisation, the difference between a same-week fix and a six-week import cycle is whether your supplier owns a production floor in the country.

We manufacture in Ajman and deliver next working day into Dubai and Sharjah, free across the northern emirates, and inside 24 to 48 hours to Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and remote project corridors. You are also welcome to visit the floor, handle the fabric and check the stitching before you commit to a bulk order.

Tender Documentation and Site Delivery

We accept LPOs from established local entities, offer 30-day terms after credit check, and issue FTA-compliant VAT invoices. For tender submissions we supply EN ISO 20471, EN ISO 11612 and EN ISO 11611 test certificates, MSDS for FR chemistry, OEKO-TEX Standard 100 declarations and country-of-origin certificates, all issued in your project name.

From Ajman we deliver next working day into Dubai and Sharjah, free across the northern emirates, and 24 to 48 hours to Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and remote project corridors. Consignments are bagged, tagged and master-cartoned per labour camp with a packing list, and our logistics team coordinates gate-pass and PPE-issue protocols with your HSE and store before the truck moves.

Procurement-grade FAQ

What Buyers Ask Before Raising the PO

The questions that come up in every tender clarification, answered properly.

Which standards must construction uniforms meet on site?

Site PPE must satisfy MOHRE occupational safety requirements, the Dubai Municipality Code of Construction Safety Practice, and on most projects the European norms:

  • EN ISO 20471, hi-vis. Class 2 for ground crew, Class 3 for road, rail and airside
  • EN ISO 11612, heat and flame protection for FR coveralls
  • EN ISO 11611, welding and allied processes, Class 1 and Class 2
  • EN ISO 13688, the general PPE baseline under every other certificate
  • EN 397, safety helmets
  • EN ISO 20345, safety footwear, S1 to S5 grades

Oil and gas contractors typically add NFPA 2112 or an HRC 2 rating on top.

Are your kits compliant with the midday work-break rule?

Yes. The midday break runs 15 June to 15 September and bans outdoor work between 12:30 and 15:00. We supply rule-ready kits:

  • Phase-change cooling vests, activate at 28°C, two and a half to three hour cooling cycle
  • Vented FR coveralls, back and underarm mesh panels
  • UPF 50+ sun hoods, neck and ear protection
  • Hydration belts, bottle pouch plus electrolyte sachet pockets
What is the minimum order quantity for construction uniforms?

Custom-stitched construction uniforms start at 25 pieces per design. Ready stock items such as hi-vis vests, hard hats and safety boots start at 10 pieces with branding. There is no limit on how many separate designs sit inside one order.

Most main contractors order in tiers of 500 to 5,000 sets. We hold buffer stock against your headcount so in-project top-ups never delay a mobilisation.

Which FR fabrics do you use for flame-resistant coveralls?

Four tiers, chosen by risk class rather than by budget line:

  • Pyrovatex CP, treated cotton, roughly 7 cal/cm² ATPV, cost-efficient for civil scopes
  • Westex Indura UltraSoft, roughly 8.7 cal/cm² ATPV, HRC 2
  • Klopman Tecasafe Plus, modacrylic and cotton blend, lighter through a summer shift, HRC 2
  • DuPont Nomex IIIA, 95 percent Nomex with 5 percent Kevlar, inherent flame resistance that never washes out

All four are certified to EN ISO 11612 with mill-test certificates that travel with every garment.

Do you supply hi-vis garments in Class 2 and Class 3?

Yes. EN ISO 20471 grades hi-vis by surface area, not by how bright it looks:

  • Class 2 vest, 0.50 m² fluorescent plus 0.13 m² retro-reflective, general site crew
  • Class 3 long-sleeve, 0.80 m² fluorescent plus 0.20 m² retro-reflective, mandatory for road, rail, airside and night-shift work

We use 3M Scotchlite 8910 silver tape for the highest retro-reflectivity, with Reflexite GP340 as a budget-tier alternative.

Can you embroider our company logo and apply HSE colour-coding?

Yes, and both are standard inclusions rather than extras:

  • Embroidered company logo on left chest and back yoke
  • Employee name and project or SAP ID
  • Bilingual Arabic and English size and care labels
  • Site colour-coding: red for HSE officers, blue for QA and QC, green for first-aiders, yellow for ground crew, white for engineering
Do you accept LPOs and provide documentation for tenders?

Yes. We accept LPOs from established local entities, offer 30-day payment terms after credit check, and issue FTA-compliant VAT tax invoices. For tender submissions we provide:

  • EN ISO 20471, EN ISO 11612 and EN ISO 11611 test certificates
  • MSDS for FR chemistry and finishes
  • Country-of-origin certificates
  • OEKO-TEX Standard 100 declarations
What sizes do you stock for the construction workforce?

Standard range is XS to 5XL in regular and tall fittings, with 6XL and 7XL manufactured on demand for South Asian and African workforce body-types common on site. Petite sizing and women's-cut coveralls are stocked for QA, QC and HSE roles.

We send a full size set for trial fitting before bulk cutting begins, which is the single cheapest way to avoid weeks of exchange requests after issue.

How long does a construction uniform order take to deliver?
  • Ready stock items, hi-vis vests, hard hats and safety boots, next working day into Dubai and Sharjah
  • Custom-stitched coveralls with branding, 10 to 15 working days from mockup approval, or 5 working days on rush production
  • Mega-project mobilisations of 5,000 sets and above, phased batches starting 21 days from PO confirmation
Do you deliver to remote project sites and labour camps?

Yes. We deliver to active project sites and labour accommodation across all seven emirates, including remote desert and offshore-staging locations. Consignments are bagged, tagged and master-cartoned per camp with a packing list, and our logistics team coordinates gate-pass and PPE-issue protocols with your HSE and store team before the truck moves.
